Contracts Manager
Position Overview
At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Contracts Manager to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Responsibilities
-Manage all contract-related activities for the programs and opportunities assigned, including proposal support, negotiations, issue resolution, and execution of agreements.
-Administer and oversee contracts supporting U.S. Government, foreign military sales, and commercial programs.
-Partner cross-functionally with Division Vice Presidents, Finance, Program Office, and other functional teams to support business objectives.
-Support the full contract lifecycle across development, production, and prototyping programs spanning multiple locations.
-Conduct detailed reviews of RFPs and proposals to ensure compliance, accuracy, and competitiveness.
-Lead and support contract negotiations with domestic and international customers and partners.
-Provide contract management support for large U.S. Government programs of record and complex commercial agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve contract issues and mitigate risks.
-Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including FAR/DFARS and other procurement requirements.
-Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers to support program success.
Minimum Requirements
-Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
-Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts administration or a relevant field and typically 10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
-Progressive experience in contracts administration/management.
-Solid experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts, especially with foreign companies and governments.
-A strong working knowledge of the FARs/DFARs, USC and other procurement related regulations.
-A deep and successful background working with prime contractors including developing and negotiating contracts.
-Effective communicator with good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Preferred Requirements
-Strong knowledge of and experience working with DCAA and DCMA.
-Working knowledge of Other Transaction Agreement (OTA).
-1 - 5 years of international commercial contracts experience, including negotiations with foreign companies and governments.
-Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR Regulations.
-Experience supporting proposal work.
-Working knowledge of spreadsheets.
-NCMA membership and certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM).
Physical Requirements
-Ability to work onsite daily in Manassas, VA, Bridgeport, WV or Columbus, MS.
-Must be able to travel to various domestic 3rd party and/or Boeing/Aurora sites (up to 10% travel).
Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $89,000.00 to $158,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $108,000.00 to $192,000.00
