Job description

Title: Temporary, Medical Laboratory Technology Program Consultant

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will provide subject matter expertise and technical support for academic program planning, development, and implementation within the School of Health Sciences. The role focuses on reviewing program proposals, assessing budgetary considerations, assisting in the development of program-related documentation, and supporting compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs job duties from the assigned campus or work location. Works with the Dean of the School of Health Sciences to meet outlined objectives. Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to support academic program planning and development. Review and evaluate academic program proposals, supporting documentation, and related materials for completeness, quality, and compliance. Analyze program budget plans and financial projections, identifying risks and providing recommendations for improvement.

Review, and refine position descriptions to align with program objectives, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements. Revise program-related documents, procedures, and implementation materials as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure program initiatives meet institutional goals and compliance expectations. Provide consultation and technical assistance throughout the contracted period. Complete scope of work within the established parameters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree

Medical Laboratory Technology Certification.

At least one year of higher education experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree

One (1) year experience in a healthcare setting

One year serving as Program Director for Medical Laboratory Technology in higher education

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, stay organized and be detail oriented.

Work Hours: Up to 28 hours per week
