JOB DEFINITION:The Community Outreach Transporter will be responsible to drive the Mobile Recovery Unit RV/Box Truck to different locations within Nassau/Suffolk County. The Community Outreach Transporter functions as part of the MRU team in assisting with setting up for outreach events and distributing outreach educational materials. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED  EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience driving large vehicles  ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Current New York State Driver LicenseClean DMV Record  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible to drive the Mobile Recovery Unit's RV/Box Truck to the designated worksite each dayResponsible to drive the Mobile Recovery Unit's RV/Box Truck to scheduled events as neededAdheres to all traffic laws, procedures, and regulations while driving the vehiclesEnsures the Agency vehicles are fueled, inspection and registration are up to date, and oil changes are scheduled and completed as neededInspects the vehicles daily for both inside and outside cleanliness, lights are functional, mirrors are intact, and all emergency equipment is on the vehiclesKeeps mileage and repair records up to date.
