Job description

TRANSPORTATION DELIVERY DRIVER
FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT HOURLY POSITION
 
Position Summary: 
The Distribution/Transportation Crew Member is responsible for the daily loading and delivery of product to stores as assigned. This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
 
$24.00-$28.00 per hour - Depending on Experience 
Schedule:  Mon-Fri days (4:45am start), weekends off
 
Essential Functions: 
-          Perform pre- and post-trip checks for all deliveries.
-          Maintain all paperwork including log books, master sheets, fuel receipts, delivery invoices, over/short sheets, and any other necessary paperwork.
-          Communicate effectively with stores to let them know expected arrival time and call supervisor to authorize any store returns.
-          Remove all trash from tractor trailer after routes and ensure doors and windows are properly secured before leaving for the day
-          Must be able to operate all equipment and have knowledge to maintain equipment to meet compliance guidelines 
-          Must be able to deliver to assigned routes in a safe and timely manner 
-          Must work with stores in a professional and courteous manner 
 
Qualifications/Physical Requirements (Education/Training/Experience/Abilities):
-          Must be able to operate both automatic and manual transmissions in both a safe and legal manner.  Must not have License restrictions.
-          Must possess current Class A CDL driver’s license and have DOT knowledge.
-          Must possess a polite and friendly attitude.
-          Must be neat and clean in appearance.
-          Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
-          Must be familiar and proficient with all commissary/warehouse duties.
-          Ability move/lift up to 50lbs unassisted up and down a ramp.
-          The employee is frequently required to sit, speak and hear. 
-          The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 
-          Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
-          Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & DOT drug screen, and have an acceptable MVR driving record.
