Job description


Position: Driver/Technician

Supervisor: Sr. Technician

Region: Gulf Coast and Multi-State

Pay Range: $25.25 - $27.50 per hour

Department: Operations

FLSA Designation: Exempt โ€“ Motor Carrier Act Exemption

Position Summary:

Responsible for driving N2S equipment/trucks to and from various states and job sites, and performing small-scale nitrogen pumping jobs


Essential Functions:

  • Driving a straight truck with a max gross weight of 80,000 pounds, a tractor-trailer combination with a tow vehicle of 10,001 pounds or greater with a gross weight of 80,000 pounds
  • Interstate driving to and from multiple state jobs and locations
  • Maintain ELD Drivers Logs
  • Must comply with all local, state, and federal laws to maintain a Class A CDL with tankers and hazmat endorsements
  • Comply with Department of Transportation requirements related to the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Is responsible for the practice of and enforcement of safety procedures.
  • Performs routine maintenance on all equipment and trucks in the fleet to ensure the safety of the fleet
  • Assures proper paperwork is done to record maintenance
  • Operating all N2 equipment without Supervision
  • Maintains organization of equipment to present a professional appearance to customers and visitors
  • Communicate clearly and intelligently with Clients

Other Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

  • Any combination of education and experience which would be likely to produce the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Preference will be given to a high school degree, trade school, or Associates degree.


Experience Required:

  • 2 years driving experience with Class A CDL and 2 years in nitrogen pumping roles


Skills Required:

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to comply with and enforce deadlines.
  • Ability to operate all N2 equipment without Supervision.
  • Ability to perform small-scale nitrogen pumping jobs.
  • Ability to oversee a crew of 2 or fewer.
  • Mentally alert; able to handle multiple tasks from multiple sources.
  • Good presence of mind; able to recognize the significance of unusual events.
  • Must have an insurable driving record for use of company vehicles.
  • Must have a Class A CDL driverโ€™s license.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Hearing adequate for phone work.
  • Eyesight sufficient for computer use and paperwork.
  • Ability to move freely about the job site and shop areas.
  • Lifting of up to 75 pounds at a time.

Supervision:

  • Crews of 2 or fewer.
