Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients
โ€ข Initiate and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
โ€ข Perform respiratory assessments and breathing therapies
โ€ข Conduct postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene procedures
โ€ข Perform bedside pulmonary function testing
โ€ข Collect and analyze blood gases and perform associated quality control procedures
โ€ข Respond to cardiac arrests and Rapid Response events
โ€ข Perform CPR and emergency respiratory interventions
โ€ข Provide respiratory care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards
โ€ข Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
โ€ข Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

Requirements
โ€ข Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program
โ€ข Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Required)
โ€ข New York State Respiratory Therapist License (Required)
โ€ข Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification through NBRC (Required)
โ€ข BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required)
โ€ข ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required)
โ€ข Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
โ€ข Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
