Job description

Certified Peer Support Supervisor - Fully Remote (Nationwide)
CLF Consultants LLC (CLFC Healthcare and Communications) seeks a certified peer support supervisor to lead and support a nationwide team of virtual certified peer support specialists serving a federal community reentry program supporting the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Community Treatment Services. This is a fully remote, non-clinical peer supervision role. All services are delivered virtually by telephone and secure video.

Compensation: $55 to $62 per hour, Independent Contractor (1099).
Position Overview: You provide peer supervision, quality oversight, and day-to-day support to specialists delivering virtual, non-clinical peer support to individuals returning from federal custody. You mentor specialists, safeguard peer boundaries and service quality, support accurate and timely documentation, and serve as the escalation point for coverage and participant-need questions. This is a supervisory peer role, not a clinical role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer supervision and ongoing support to a team of certified peer support specialists delivering virtual services.
  • Monitor service quality, peer boundaries, and adherence to program standards; coach specialists and support their growth.
  • Support accurate, timely documentation and reporting across the team through the program's secure system.
  • Serve as the escalation point for coverage, scheduling, and participant-need questions, and coordinate reassignments when a better peer match is needed.
  • Help onboard and orient new specialists and support a consistent, participant-centered approach.
  • Coordinate with CLFC program management on staffing coverage, performance, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a peer support specialist, plus certification or formal qualification as a peer support supervisor, or an equivalent recognized supervisory credential (documentation required).
  • Documented supervised peer support experience, such as the supervised-hours threshold required for peer supervisor certification.
  • Lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, a substance use disorder, or both, and/or lived experience with the justice system.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading peer specialists or a comparable team; strong organizational and communication skills.

Strongly Preferred: Supervisory experience in a reentry, correctional, or community-based peer support setting; familiarity with quality assurance and coverage planning; bilingual ability.
Engagement details: As an independent contractor, you supply your own reliable internet, private confidential workspace, and video-capable device. The DOJ/BOP contract requires use of the agency-approved secure delivery platform; a brief contract orientation covers federal scope and documentation standards.
