Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy for plant- based upon business needs.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of best practices related to reliability improvements across site.
  • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Apply appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve asset effectiveness (i.e., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.).
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues.
  • Track production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets to find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, and facilitate implementation.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) and corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems. Participate in reliability related incident investigations, prioritize action items, and follow-up on implementation.
  • Identify, develop, and implement engineered improvements and projects for chronic or repetitive issues.
  • Improve overall plant reliability through PM effectiveness tracking, corrective work orders, and PM process improvements.
  • Development of critical equipment list, critical instrument list, and critical spare parts inventory. This includes monitoring and optimizing the store's system considering the needs of the site.
  • Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
  • Support capital projects by supplying historical data, cost analysis, or other information related to reliability during scope development.
  • Work with Engineering Team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
  • Participate in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications.

Job Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or like area - or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 -10 years prior technical work experience
  • Trouble shooting, root cause analysis, inspection, and testing experience desired.
  • An understanding of best practices for maintenance processes including but not limited to Risk Based assessment, Total Productive Maintenance, and Reliability Based Inspections is also an important asset for this position.
  • Experience in reliability, stationary equipment, predictive/preventative maintenance and maintenance systems preferred.
  • Thermal & vibration analysis, and component evaluation skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook calendar and email management, written and oral communication skills.
  • Be flexible and available to interact and connect with people at all levels in the organization.
