Job Summary
The Ramp & Passenger Services Supervisor oversees and coordinates all airport operations related to ramp and passenger services. Responsibilities include managing staffing levels, monitoring work performance and quality, coaching and training employees, and enforcing compliance with company policies, standards, and contracts. The role involves hiring, disciplining, and terminating staff as needed while ensuring budgetary and operational efficiency.
This position may serve as a liaison between the company, airport authorities, and customers. Supervisors proactively ensure safety, security, customer satisfaction, quality control, and positive employee relations. They are also responsible for maintaining compliance with the company's security program and TSA regulations, including audits and the enforcement of ID display protocols.
Supervisors are expected to maintain fair and respectful practices with employees, customers, vendors, and other parties. Job scope may vary depending on the size and nature of the operation.
Full-Time
Compensation Rate: $22.00 per hour.
City & Airport: Phoenix, AZ - Sky Harbor International Airport
Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely manner.
  • May also be responsible for baggage service functions of filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims.
  • Offers efficient and professional customer service and resolves passenger problems as required.
  • Coordinates with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companies.
  • Acts as the company representative when assigned.
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off.

  • Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
  • Ability to handle stress. Work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in a high-noise-level environment.
