Job description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use specialized equipment such as tape measure, band saw, oxygen/acetylene cutting torches, hand grinders, drill press, shot blasters, steam cleaner etc.
  • Perform basic metalworking duties such as measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling and deburring parts.
  • Operate forklift to unload and handle raw materials.

· Maintain test standards and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.

  • Assemble components using basic hand tools.
  • Read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
  • Welding together parts from raw materials using blueprints
  • Perform a wide range of shop duties to support the Engineering Group.
  • Maintain work area and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for following all safety regulations at all work areas and job sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper attendance.
  • Responsible for professional levels of quality and quantity of work.
  • Requires the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshooting guides.
  • The ability to work productively in teams as well as individually.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED required; graduate of a technical/vocational training program is preferred. Industry Certification Preferred.

Two years minimum of related R&D Technician experience. Welding experience a plus.

Experience with portable construction pumps, pipe fusing, dewatering and wastewater by-pass operations is highly desired.
