Job description

Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing of products. Additionally, the QA Inspector inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. The QA Inspector has the ability to inspect and approve startups for several different products throughout the production floor and is comfortable will most Quality documents and procedures.


Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform duties of incoming, in-process, and/or final inspection of raw materials, added value materials, and finished goods respectively.
  • Follow direction of QA Manager for daily tasks to be completed
  • Maintain records of inspection
  • Make recommendations to QA Management for products without of spec condition
  • Authorize shipment/release of product
  • Compile reports for review by fellow employees and/or customers as needed (ie. Low CPK values, lab requests, etc.)
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for job completion.
  • Work with manufacturing associates to promote and implement continuous improvement programs within our manufacturing cells
  • Involved in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action implementation and completion
  • Involved in ISO audits
  • Additional requests assigned by management
  • Flexibility to work other shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years' experience in Quality Inspection is required
  • 3 or more years' experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience in metrology devices (Caliper, CMM, Scale Ruler)
  • Familiarity with ISO9001
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Advanced Mathematical skills
  • Advanced Reading and Writing
