Job description

Position Overview:

The position supports the measurement and forecasting of risk for equipment finance portfolios, both retail and wholesale. Independently performs advanced quantitative analyses. Leads projects to develop models, analyses, and reports that measure credit, residual value, and portfolio risk. Provides thought leadership on analytical approaches and mentors junior analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze portfolio trends, risk concentrations, and emerging risks. Work with large datasets related to leases, loans, collateral values, and customer performance.
  • Develop credit, residual value, and/or portfolio risk models and interpret outputs. Lead model documentation, testing, and model governance activities.
  • Contribute to a team that reviews and challenges business-leader decisions that influence portfolio composition and risk.
  • Design and execute stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Lead the automation of risk reports and dashboards.
  • Mentor and review work performed by Analysts.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Master’s degree in financial engineering, statistics, mathematics, engineering, econometrics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is acceptable with compensatory experience.
  • 3–5 years of quantitative, analytics, or risk experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL or Python.
  • Solid understanding of leasing, asset finance, or secured lending concepts.
  • Ability to present complex analyses to non-technical audiences.

Working Hours:

  • This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week (35-hour for Canada) but may vary to meet business needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  • Body motor skills sufficient to move from one office location to another

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $110,000 and $135,000 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
