Cloud Specialist
Location: MS Department of Archives & History, 200 North St, Jackson, MS 39201
Duration: 8 months | 100% Onsite | Contract
About the Role
Join the MS Department of Archives & History as a Cloud Specialist and play a pivotal role in modernizing and securing mission-critical systems. You will architect and optimize cloud platforms, drive cloud migrations, and ensure compliance-all within a collaborative, onsite environment. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable architecture for IAAS and PAAS platforms.
- Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security and compliance standards for data protection and privacy.
- Execute safe migrations of on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.
- Proactively monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement controls and audit processes using available cloud audit tools.
- Stay current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
