Job description

Title: Test Lead / Test Coordinator

Location : Brooklyn , OH (Onsite)

Duration : Contract

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Test Lead / Test Coordinator to support testing activities across the Data Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will coordinate test planning, execution, defect tracking, environment readiness, and status reporting across multiple projects, teams, and systems. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational discipline, clear communication, and hands-on experience managing testing across complex initiatives. You will work closely with project managers, technology leads, testers, business partners, and downstream stakeholders to ensure testing is well planned, visible, complete, and actionable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure and follow-through to testing efforts, identifying coverage gaps early, and helping teams deliver high-quality outcomes with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate test planning, schedules, and execution activities across multiple projects, releases, and environments.
  • Maintain visibility into test readiness, dependencies, environment availability, and impacted downstream teams.
  • Partner with project managers, technology leads, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage is complete and aligned to scope.
  • Track execution progress, blocked tests, defects, retesting needs, and open risks.
  • Support creation and organization of test plans, test cases, and test scripts, with strong focus on traceability and completeness.
  • Manage defect follow-up, coordinate triage discussions, and ensure issues are progressed through resolution and retesting.
  • Maintain accurate testing status, issues, and reporting in Jira or similar tools.
  • Communicate clear, fact-based updates on testing progress, blockers, risks, and decision needs.
  • Identify gaps, conflicts, and improvement opportunities across the testing lifecycle.
  • Help strengthen repeatable testing processes, governance routines, dashboards, and reporting practices.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with experience coordinating testing across complex technology initiatives, shared environments, and integrated systems. Candidates should bring the following qualifications:

Experience in test coordination, test lead, quality assurance, technology delivery, or project execution roles.

Strong understanding of test planning, test case management, test execution, defect tracking, retesting, and completion reporting.

Experience working with Jira or similar agile/project tracking tools.

Ability to manage multiple testing cycles, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders at the same time.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and incomplete coverage.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize testing status, issues, and risks clearly.

Ability to work independently, organize complex information, and drive follow-up without constant direction.

Comfort working with technical teams, project managers, application owners, testers, and downstream consumers.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate status reporting.

Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and think beyond the obvious test scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is preferred:

Experience with enterprise data, data integration, batch processing, interface testing, or downstream data consumption.

Experience coordinating testing across multiple applications, TLAs, workstreams, or environments.

Familiarity with test dashboards, reporting metrics, execution tracking, and defect aging reports.

Experience with QV or similar non-production testing environments.

Experience supporting integration testing, regression testing, release testing, or production readiness validation.

Experience documenting testing strategies, operating models, process flows, or governance routines.

Familiarity with automation opportunities related to test execution, reporting, or evidence capture.

Ability to understand data movement, upstream/downstream dependencies, job execution, and operational impacts.
• Experience with SQL, GCP, and Python to support data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and testing activities.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means bringing structure, visibility, discipline, and follow-through to testing activities across the Data Supply Chain organization. You will be successful if you can consistently deliver the following outcomes:

A maintained and reliable test calendar across projects, cycles, environments, and impacted TLAs.

Clear visibility into what is being tested, where it is being tested, and who is impacted.

Test plans, test cases, and scripts that are organized, reviewed, and aligned to project scope.

Early identification of missing test coverage, incomplete planning, environment risks, and downstream impacts.

Accurate tracking of test execution progress, defects, blockers, and retesting needs.

Consistent Jira reporting for testing status, issues, defects, and follow-ups.

Improved transparency for project managers, technical leads, downstream teams, and leadership.

A documented DSC testing strategy with defined processes, roles, reporting expectations, and improvement opportunities.

Practical recommendations for process improvement and automation.
