Job description

Company Description

Why Process Pro - A 5-Star Diamond HubSpot Partner Agency

Process Pro Consulting is a 5-star Diamond HubSpot Partner Agency that helps B2B companies run smarter through better systems. We focus on building clean, usable HubSpot environments that drive real results, while working closely with clients as true partners.

Job Description

Process Pro Consulting is looking for a strategic, technically skilled Automation Engineer to join us on a contract-to-hire basis, designing, building, and maintaining the systems that power client growth. You'll serve as a technical implementation partner, working closely with Consultants and Solutions Architects to bring automation strategies to life inside and around HubSpot.

In this role, you'll design and implement custom automations, integrations, and UI extensions, translating business needs into smart, scalable systems. While you won't manage entire projects end-to-end, you'll take full ownership of the technical components you build - whether that's a custom-coded action, an API integration, or a data cleanup script.

You'll contribute to planning and scoping, join client calls when technical context is needed, and help navigate creative solutions when HubSpot's limitations demand it. You'll also have the autonomy and flexibility of a remote role, backed by a collaborative team that values clear communication and thoughtful engineering.

As an Automation Engineer, you'll support a range of client projects - primarily within HubSpot, but often extending beyond it. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing HubSpot automations using workflows, custom-coded actions, APIs, serverless functions, CRM cards, and internal apps (mainly Node.js and Python)

  • Building and maintaining integrations between HubSpot and third-party systems via REST APIs, middleware, or custom scripts

  • Developing internal HubSpot apps, CRM cards, and extensions that enhance client portals and user experience

  • Automating data clean-up, property resets, normalization logic, and cross-platform syncs to keep data clean and consistent

  • Supporting subscription logic, deal automation, lead routing, lifecycle stage updates, and complex CRM schemas and object relationships

  • Partnering closely with Consultants and Solutions Architects to scope, plan, and deliver scalable technical solutions aligned with client goals

  • Acting as technical lead across multiple client projects at once, often for clients without in-house technical resources

Qualifications

Experience and Technical Expertise

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience building advanced, scalable automations in HubSpot (Professional or Enterprise tiers) - workflows, custom-coded actions, APIs, and custom objects across Marketing, Sales, and Service Hubs

  • Proficient in JavaScript and Python, especially within HubSpot custom-coded actions and serverless functions (e.g., HubSpot Functions, Google Cloud Functions)

  • Experience integrating HubSpot with third-party tools and middleware via REST APIs, webhooks, and platforms like Make, Google Apps Script, Zapier, and Google Cloud Platform

  • Working knowledge of React, HTML, and HubL is a plus

  • Experience with process flow tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro)

  • Strong grasp of system architecture, data modeling, and CRM structure - custom properties, deal pipelines, lifecycle stages, and object associations - with an eye toward scalability and maintainability

  • Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows

  • Skilled at technical delivery: joining discovery calls, translating requirements into technical specs, and shipping clean, well-documented code

  • Proven ability to turn complex client needs into reliable, scalable technical solutions aligned with business goals

  • A proactive problem-solver who anticipates edge cases, automation gaps, and system limitations - building in fallback handling, error logging, and rollback strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike

  • Strong prioritization and project communication skills - managing shifting requirements, surfacing blockers, and flagging timeline or capacity changes clearly to stakeholders

  • Working knowledge across multiple operational areas (RevOps, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service)

  • Familiarity with core RevOps processes (e.g., lead management, sales pipeline, subscriptions)

  • Familiarity with RevOps KPIs and reporting needs
