How will you fit in the big picture?
The Sr Analyst, Digital Systems plays a critical role in enabling Hershey's digitally integrated manufacturing strategy at the Annville Fulfillment Center-a state-of-the-art, highly automated facility focused on innovation, reliability, and real-time data-driven operations.
In this role, you will serve as the on-site IT/OT technical expert and first responder for digital systems, supporting plant operations, automation platforms, and enterprise technologies. You'll collaborate across Engineering, Corporate IS, and Operations to deploy and sustain advanced manufacturing and fulfillment solutions.
Accountabilities
What will you do?
  • Provide plant-level IS/OT support, troubleshooting and resolving issues across SCADA, MES/MOM, and automation systems
  • Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of Ignition SCADA and IIoT-enabled systems
  • Act as a liaison between plant operations, engineering, and corporate IT to ensure seamless system integration and support
  • Execute and troubleshoot SQL queries and support associated databases
  • Support hardware and software environments, including PCs, servers, printers, networking equipment, barcode systems, and telecommunication tools
  • Enable deployment of cloud-based and virtualized solutions in partnership with enterprise teams
  • Support corporate-led digital and infrastructure projects, including testing, training, and system rollouts
  • Maintain network and server health, coordinating escalations and vendor support as needed
  • Support disaster recovery readiness and adherence to company data protection policies
  • Deliver excellent end-user support, ensuring uptime, connectivity, and operational continuity

Prior Experience
What strength will you bring?
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems (Ignition preferred) and manufacturing automation environments
  • Experience with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT) and IIoT architectures
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and visualization tools
  • Familiarity with MES/MOM systems (e.g., Traksys)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
  • Exposure to Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience with ERP integrations (SAP, WMS such as Blue Yonder) is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and virtual environments
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Manufacturing or plant-floor experience preferred

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting IT/OT systems, SCADA platforms, or manufacturing digital systems
