Network Architect Contract Houston, TX
Experience: 10+ Years
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect enterprise-scale datacenter and multi-availability zone (AZ) network infrastructures.
  • Build scalable EVPN-VXLAN spine-leaf fabrics for high-performance L2/L3 networking.
  • Design high-availability, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions with active-active and active-passive architectures.
  • Implement 100/400GbE connectivity and DWDM integration for datacenter interconnects.
  • Design logical and physical network topologies, routing policies, security zoning, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Deploy and manage Juniper QFX, PTX, and SRX platforms, including Apstra automation.
  • Design and implement Aruba CX 10000, CX 9300, CX 8400, Aruba Fabric Composer, and Aruba Central solutions.
  • Implement Zero Trust Networking, micro-segmentation, distributed firewalling, and network access control using Aruba ClearPass.
  • Design WAN solutions using Juniper Contrail SD-WAN and Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python, PyEZ, REST APIs, and JunOS automation.
  • Implement network observability using gNMI, Netconf/YANG, Streaming Telemetry, Apstra, Aruba Central AIOps, and NetEdit.
  • Perform network security vulnerability management, performance optimization, and operational support.

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience designing enterprise datacenter networks.
  • Strong expertise in Juniper QFX, PTX, SRX, and Apstra.
  • Experience with Aruba CX 10000, CX 9300, CX 8400, Fabric Composer, and Aruba Central.
  • Strong knowledge of EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Segment Routing, and DWDM.
  • Experience designing multi-availability zone (AZ), disaster recovery (DR), and hybrid cloud network architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with network automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, PyEZ, and REST APIs.
  • Strong experience with network security vulnerability management and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required
