Job description

Job Title: Contract Analyst
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years (with possible extension)
Location: Mounds View, MN 55112
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:
An individual contributor role responsible for the end-to-end management of clinical trial and vendor agreements in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. The Contract Analyst supports contract operations using legal expertise, financial insights, and project management capabilities, ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using strong customer service and time management skills.
  • Analyze Fair Market Value (FMV) to support budgeting and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, clinical, reimbursement, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and track contracts and outsourcing proposals.
  • Ensure contract compliance and maintain contract records and reporting data.
  • Apply knowledge of GCP and industry regulations to clinical and vendor agreements.
  • Manage moderately complex negotiations, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Review redlines and suggest actions based on contract purpose and risk.
  • Lead small-scale projects or contracts with limited supervision.
  • Manage contract changes: amendments, terminations, extensions, and administration.
  • Review contract elements for accuracy and completeness.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years of contract management/negotiation experience
    OR
  • JD or Master's degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD)
  • Experience in clinical research or medical/scientific fields
  • Understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
  • Prior clinical/vendor contract negotiation experience
  • Project management exposure in a matrixed team environment
  • Strong customer-facing communication background
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish, French, Italian, etc.)
