Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Warren, RI
$37.90 per hour depending on experience

Job Function

Performs skilled electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting to support manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on equipment reliability, safety, and efficient execution of assigned work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  1. Diagnose and repair electrical issues on manufacturing equipment and systems.
  2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  3. Execute work orders efficiently and accurately.

Installation and Fabrication

  1. Install, modify, and remove electrical equipment and control systems.
  2. Assist with equipment upgrades and new installations.
  3. Fabricate components using shop tools and equipment.

Technical Support

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams.
  2. Support PLC troubleshooting and basic programming adjustments (as applicable).
  3. Document repairs and system changes.

Compliance and Safety

  1. Follow all OSHA, NEC, and company safety policies.
  2. Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
  3. Maintain compliance with GMP and operational standards.

Collaboration

  1. Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  2. Support team priorities and production needs.
  3. Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required

  1. Journeyman Electrician License.
  2. 3–5+ years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
  3. Working knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems and controls
    • Industrial equipment maintenance
    • Blueprint and schematic reading

Preferred

  1. Experience with PLC systems and automation.
  2. Exposure to HVAC, boilers, pneumatics, or utility systems.

Physical & Work Environment

  1. Continuous exposure to manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  3. Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
