Job description

STGi is currently seeking qualified In-Person Fitness Instructor candidates to support our Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with Federal Occupational Health in College Park & Rockville, MD.

**Mat Pilates, Zumba, Les Mills, Strength Training or Kickboxing preferred**

Service Operations

  • Instruct regularly scheduled group fitness classes. Formats may include:
    • Mind/body classes (e.g., Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, etc.)
    • Specialty classes (e.g., Cycle, Zumba, Les Mills formats, etc.)
    • General classes (e.g., formats with a focus on strength, cardiovascular, or core)
  • Instruct at various intensity levels (low to high) for participants of varying skill levels (beginner to advanced).

 

Administrative

  • Start class on time.
    • For onsite classes, arrive early to set up the mic/sound system and your station with all necessary equipment.
    • For virtual classes, login early to confirm connectivity, video and sound and set up your station with all necessary equipment.
  • For virtual classes, ensure the setting is appropriate (i.e., spacious, uncluttered, well lit, professional) the camera is at a suitable angle and distance, and the location has a reliable internet connection.
  • Ensure your attire is fitness professional.
  • When a sub is needed, notify your Health Fitness or FOH Manager as soon as possible.
  • Report attendance numbers as requested.
  • Assist with the completion of safety event forms should there be an unusual incident.

  • Manage customer/agency complaints professionally.
  • Elevate concerns to your Health Fitness or FOH Manager.
