Ready to make a lasting impact this school year? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a short-term FMLA coverage assignment serving a preschool population in Chicago Ridge, IL this 2026 Fall semester.

Position Overview: 

  • Provide direct social-emotional support and developmental interventions for preschool-aged students within a school setting.
  • Manage a specialized caseload while maintaining compliance with IEP goals, documentation, and state regulations.
  • Partner with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement behavioral support plans and promote student success.
  • Deliver crisis support and connect students and families with appropriate resources as needs arise.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Active Illinois Social Worker License
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
  • Prior experience working with preschool populations and knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones
