Database Support Engineer / DBA – Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Ensure database availability, performance, integrity, and security.

  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, and DR activities.

  • Support AWS-hosted databases (RDS, EC2-based deployments).

  • Perform database migrations from on-prem to AWS.

  • Conduct SQL tuning, query optimization, index tuning, and performance analysis.

  • Support Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Flashback and SQL Server AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication.

  • Automate database administration tasks using Shell, PowerShell, Python, SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL.

  • Work with cloud, security, CMDB, and infrastructure teams to support integrated service delivery. ,
