Vocational Job Coach

Pay: $42,000.00 per year

MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE AND CLEAN NYS DRIVERS LICENSE

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving success in community-based employment. The ideal candidate is patient, motivated, and committed to empowering the people we serve to reach their highest level of independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-job training and support to individuals in community employment settings

  • Help individuals learn job tasks, develop soft skills, and maintain workplace expectations

  • Communicate regularly with employers, supervisors, and program staff

  • Complete required documentation, progress notes, and data collection

  • Assist individuals in problem-solving workplace challenges

  • Transport individuals to and from job sites as needed

  • Ensure adherence to OPWDD regulations and agency policies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Previous experience in OPWDD, human services, or job coaching preferred but not required

  • Must have a valid NYS driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and a clean driving record

  • Ability to work independently and in the community

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift, bend, and provide physical support as needed
