Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Full-time, onsite in Monroe Township, New Jersey.

Reports to: VP of Operations

Our PowerBuoy® platforms provide clean and reliable electric power and real-time data communications for remote maritime and subsea applications. We also provide WAM-V® unmanned surface vehicles (USV’s) and marine robotics services. The Company’s headquarters is located in Monroe Township, New Jersey and has an additional office in Richmond, California.

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented full-cycle Project Manager to lead and coordinate critical manufacturing and engineering projects from initial concept to final completion in support of both U.S. government and international clients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technical acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across departments and time zones. This role requires a high level of accountability, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of government contracting requirements and export compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution
    • Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate activities across engineering, production, procurement, QA, and shipping teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including U.S. government agencies and international partners.
    • Lead regular status meetings, prepare progress reports, and manage client expectations.
  • Budget & Cost Control
    • Track project costs to ensure budgets are maintained; report variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Assist with pricing estimates and proposals for new projects.
  • Regulatory & Contract Compliance
    • Ensure projects comply with FAR/DFARS regulations and ITAR/EAR export controls.
    • Support audits and documentation requirements related to government and international contracts.
  • Risk & Issue Management
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
    • Resolve project-related issues and escalate when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, engineering, maritime environment.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government contracting, including FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Experience working with international clients and knowledge of export compliance (ITAR/EAR).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of government contracts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior work in a small-to-mid-sized company with cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
  • Experience managing Defense or Energy-related projects.

Salary range is $110,000 - $120,000 per year and includes the following:
