Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate, high-quality primary care in a correctional or institutional healthcare setting. The NP will work a consistent weekday schedule and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary and preventive care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.

  • Manage an average daily caseload in accordance with facility needs.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per facility and state standards.

  • Perform minor procedures as applicable (preferred but not required).

  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up regarding patient care needs.

Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, or internal medicine.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.

  • Prior correctional or institutional healthcare experience preferred but not required.
