Job description

Job Title: Crew Chief Location: Gallatin, Tennessee Type: Contract-to-Hire Overview

Aerotek Aviation is seeking an experienced Crew Chief to lead maintenance operations in a Part 145 repair station located in Gallatin, TN. This position plays a key role in overseeing heavy maintenance and inspections on Embraer Praetor, Phenom, and other aircraft, ensuring all work meets FAA and company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, proven leadership ability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Position Summary

As a Crew Chief, you will:

  • Lead and support maintenance crews performing airframe, powerplant, and system repairs
  • Conduct and sign off on inspections, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Oversee scheduling, labor utilization, and quality control during heavy maintenance
  • Perform engine runs, installations, and component checks as needed
Schedule & Compensation

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Availability: Some on-call, evening, or weekend hours as required Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour (based on experience) Benefits: Paid vacation, holidays, and comprehensive benefits package

Skills & Qualifications
  • A&P License strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience on Embraer Praetor, Phenom, or other Embraer corporate jets
  • Strong troubleshooting, inspection, and team leadership skills
  • Thorough understanding of FAA standards and documentation procedures

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
