Job description

Java Financial Applications Developer

This contract has an initial duration of six months with a likely extension. Key skills: Java, heavy Capital Markets (pref Derivatives or Equities) – need people who have directly developed trading platforms. Murex would be a plus. Location is New York City (hybrid: 2-3 days in NYC). Any visa status is fine. Senior candidates needed. Local candidates needed (likely video interview for now, but subject to change). This is for a foreign securities trading firm.

Skills required:

  • 5 + years Java 8+
  • Equity trading and Stockloan platforms
  • Spring framework / Spring boot
  • WebServices / REST API / Micro Services
  • Messaging, multi-threaded processes, understanding of design patterns
  • Basic understanding of application security (ssl, certificates)
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, iterative/agile environment
  • Able to work independently
