Job description

Markon is seeking a Front End Engineer to support the Fort Meade customer in the design and development of responsive, high-performance web applications. This role will work closely with backend developers and senior front-end engineers to deliver scalable, maintainable, and user-focused solutions.


  • Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React and Next.js
  • Implement server-side rendering, static site generation, and dynamic routing with Next.js
  • Collaborate with backend developers to deliver cohesive, scalable solutions
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and SEO
  • Integrate RESTful APIs into front-end applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture decisions with senior front-end engineers

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 14+ years of software development experience
  • Strong experience with React and Next.js
  • Experience with server-side rendering, static site generation, and dynamic routing
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of front-end performance optimization, scalability, and SEO best practices
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Experience collaborating with backend developers and senior engineering teams

USD $210,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.
