Job description

Our client, located in Centennial, CO, is currently in need of a Sr NetApp Consultant for a 1 year contract. The customer is open to some remote but ideally looking for the consultant to work onsite consistently. The consultant will work to integrate new NetApp storage, migrate date from Nimble/Qumulo to NetApp, and evaluate 400 FlexGroups for best utilization of storage efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with file migrations from Qumulo to NetApp
  • Assist with file migrations from the NFS standalone server to NetApp
  • Assist with file migrations from the admsnfs VM (backed by Nimble) to NetApp
  • Evaluate ~400 corporate volumes/FlexGroups for best utilization of storage efficiencies (dedup/compression/compaction)
  • Assist with rework of replication policies and implement intelligently
  • Assist with identifying transient data and moving to new volumes
  • Assist with ideas and implementation for snapshot redesign
  • Review all clusters for best practices and standardization
  • Evaluate if encryption key rotation is possible yet for Aggregate-level encryption
  • Active IQ Unified Manager
  • Assist with planning for move of SMB services from RHEL8 servers to NetApp
  • Review shares for duplication
  • Review networking configs
  • Ensure all service processors are configured and connected properly

Required Skills:
  • Ability to work on a W2 basis
  • Ability to work onsite - the customer is open to some remote but ideally looking for someone to be onsite daily.
  • Strong NetApp implementation and optimization experience
  • Experience with NetApp ActiveIQ Unified Manager
  • Experience with NFS and SMB volumes
