Job description

Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical, engineering, and cybersecurity support across the a US Navy Above Water Sensors portfolio, contributing to system development efforts spanning concept exploration, engineering and manufacturing development, test and evaluation, production, and sustainment. This role supports complex Navy radar, combat systems, and sensor programs that operate under multiple Adaptive Acquisition Framework pathways. Responsibilities include performing systems and advanced technology analysis, supporting software implementation and integration, and contributing to engineering trade studies and technical documentation.
This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess one of the following:
    • A) a high school degree, or a GED, and 20 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.
    • B) a bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 15 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.
    • C) a master's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 10 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.

Personnel Clearance Level:
  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 annually.
