Job description

What you'll do
  • Develop various software-based products for both internal and customer projects, leaning on priorexperience and hands-on software development skills.
  • Design, document, develop, and integrate software in a wide range of languages.
  • Participate incodereviews of developed software.
  • Optimize software for resource-constrained deployments.
  • Create andmaintainunit tests and integration tests to maintain software quality.
  • Manage software development according to continuous integration,continuous development (CI/CD)andDevSecOpsbest practices. Implement protocol, practices and procedures.
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and implement software solutions to
    achieve project goals.
  • Effectively plan and deliver multiple softwarefeaturesat the company whilemaintaininghigh software standards.Accurately forecast time and level of effort to achieve desired result and deliver on-time.
  • Articulate complex software functions, and development requirements to non-software personnel (such as customers, government representatives, project managers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring project stakeholders understand developed products function.
  • Collaborate closely with other scientists and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to
    prototype and test new software technologies inthe Mission Solutionsportfolio.
Desired Qualifications
  • Must be a UScitizen with the ability to obtain a US DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’sdegreeand4+ years of experience;ORgraduatedegreein any of computer science/engineering,electrical engineering,
  • Proficiency with Python and/or Rust
  • Experiencedesigning software forrobotics and real-time systems
  • Experience withmiddleware technologies like ROS2 and raw DDS
  • Strong debugging skills acrosslocal and distributed systems
  • Experience withDocker (containerization)
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Proficiencywith at least one area but familiarity with all from embedded software, front-end software, back-end software, and data engineering and analytics
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Experienceworkingwiththe following:
  • CUDA
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Autonomy and mission planning algorithms
  • Experience and willingness toefficiently integrate AI tools into workflow
  • Experience with marine autonomous systems
  • Experience with physics-based modelingand Digital Engineering
  • Experience with network configurations, protocols, certificates, andbest practices.
  • Familiarityintegratingwith marine sensingplatforms andequipment (cameras, radars, IMU, GPS, LiDAR, sonar, DVL, acoustic modems).
  • Working knowledge of linear algebra.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 10% of time.
