Job description

SB Directional is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Data Entry Clerk for a 6-month contract, to support our Oklahoma City location. This role is responsible for accurately inputting inventory details into a spreadsheet formatted for import into our proprietary inventory software. The ideal candidate has hands-on field or shop experience with directional drilling equipment and is comfortable working with Motor and MWD (Measurement While Drilling) tooling and terminology.
Responsibilities:
  • Input and organize inventory data including part numbers, serial numbers, tool descriptions, and quantities into a structured spreadsheet template.
  • Verify accuracy of entries against physical inventory and source documentation.
  • Identify and correctly categorize Motor and MWD components using working knowledge of the equipment.
  • Format completed spreadsheets to meet import requirements for proprietary inventory management software.
  • Flag discrepancies, missing data, or damaged/unusable equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain organized records throughout the inventory process and meet daily/weekly data entry targets.

Requirements:
  • Hands-on field or shop experience with Motors and MWD tools is required candidates should be able to correctly identify and describe this equipment.
  • Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet software is required, including basic formatting, data entry, and organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling technical inventory data.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Oklahoma City for the duration of the assignment.
  • Prior experience in oilfield services, directional drilling, or inventory/warehouse settings is an asset.
