The Houston Symphony is currently looking for a Principal Tuba to join their esteemed orchestra. This role is part of a 52-week season, which includes 9 weeks of paid vacation. The minimum annual salary for this position is $113,360 for the 2025-26 contract year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as instrument insurance and pension contributions.Auditions will take place in multiple rounds, with preliminary and semifinal rounds scheduled for January 4 and 5, 2027, and final rounds on February 2 and 3, 2027.
