Scope:

This role will primarily focus on mechanical design for the Advanced Electronics Development Initiative within the Advanced Manufacturing Group at TTM Technologies. Reporting directly to the group lead, the Development Engineer collaborates closely with the senior mechatronics engineer and physicist working on the initiative. Within the Advanced Manufacturing Group, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse set of challenging engineering problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take a project / build from concept to reality.

    • Work directly with the senior engineer / management to understand requirements for the concept.

    • Be involved with proto-types and contribute to their fabrication.

  • Produce advanced traveler models and menu item and implement them into the regular stream of processes.

    • Deliver critical specifications to process engineering and FEE for simulation.

  • Test and qualify new products and processes using statistical analysis.

  • Perform drafting and DFM for tooling efforts, to include by Additive and Subtractive / Conventional methods.

  • Establish test vehicles and DOEs for new processes, material testing, and reliability.

  • Create manufacturing procedures and guidelines for new technologies.

  • Assist with mechanical aspects of other initiatives on going within the Advanced Manufacturing Group.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Python, SQL, VBA, C++, Genesis and traveler scripts, and full-stack web development

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

  • Knowledge and application of statistical techniques for process control

  • Knowledge and application of failure mode effect analysis techniques as applied to both process development and process improvement

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds without straining

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field

  • 2+ years experience in PCBs or related field

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$83,459 - $139,098

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
