QUALIFICATION:  Current Minnesota PELSB license in appropriate area required. Any Secondary Science or Mathematics License

Job Summary:

The Instructional Facilitator will work closely with the Office of Academics team to support evidence-based practices and culturally responsive pedagogy in the classroom. The Instructional facilitator will support teachers and teams in understanding the Minnesota Academic standards and the implementation of curricular materials and supports. The Instructional facilitator will also develop job-embedded professional development for teachers in the Science and Mathematics content areas and will partner with instructional coaches to support school-wide and district-wide strategic plan priorities. Instructional facilitators will also develop and deliver professional development for new teachers in Rochester Public Schools. Instructional facilitators may also support community partnerships that align to standards and benefit classrooms across the district. Instructional facilitators will also provide leadership related to equitable student outcomes.

• Demonstrated skill in using data to inform instruction 
• Demonstrated skill in designing professional development and facilitating collaborative conversations with adults.  
• Demonstrated strength in interpersonal relationships.  
• Demonstrated willingness to be an open and active learner.  
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in culturally relevant pedagogies.  
• Demonstrated experience with people who hold different identity markers than your own  
• Demonstrated ability to readily and easily build trust with others.  
• Demonstrated experience in using multiple ways to assess learning

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience at the appropriate grade levels for the position.  
• Teacher leadership experience (site leadership team, curriculum team, staff development, equity teacher leaders).
• Design professional development for a diverse group of adult learners.
• Strong experience with Minnesota Academic Standards.
• Experience with teacher mentorship, such as supervising student teachers, building mentorship, or delivering other peer support.
