We're looking for an experienced Proposal Writer to join our team and lead the development of compelling, compliant proposals for both our NOVASTAR program and NASK Corporate opportunities.
This is a full-cycle proposal writing position with the opportunity for career growth as our organization continues to expand. Your primary focus will be creating high-quality proposal content while helping establish and improve proposal processes. As you gain familiarity with our business and customers, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing ownership of proposal operations, strategy, and cross-functional coordination.
Working alongside executive leadership, capture managers, solution architects, and technical subject matter experts, you'll play a critical role in communicating NASK's technical capabilities, mission impact, and competitive advantages through persuasive, customer-focused proposals that position the company for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write clear, compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposal responses for Federal Government opportunities.
  • Develop proposal content for technical, management, staffing, transition, corporate experience, past performance, and resume volumes.
  • Interview subject matter experts and technical leaders to gather information and transform complex concepts into customer-focused proposal narratives.
  • Collaborate with Capture Managers and technical teams to develop win themes, discriminators, solution messaging, and proposal strategy.
  • Ensure proposal content is compliant with solicitation requirements while maintaining consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Help develop and improve proposal templates, content libraries, and proposal processes to increase efficiency and proposal quality.
  • Support proposal lessons learned and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize emerging technologies, including Generative AI tools, to improve proposal development while maintaining quality, compliance, and accuracy.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Three (3) or more years of proposal writing experience supporting Federal Government contracts.
  • Demonstrated success writing winning, high-quality proposals.
  • Experience writing technical, management, staffing, transition, corporate experience, and past performance volumes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work on-site during active proposal efforts, with occasional travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) proposal efforts.
  • Experience with Shipley proposal methodologies or similar proposal management processes.
  • Experience using Generative AI tools to support proposal development.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
