Job description

Anticipated Opening for the following: 

Overview/Purpose:

The Lead Behavior Analyst (BCBA) works with and provides escalation support and guidance to a team of Behavior Technicians to provide applied behavior analytic assessments and clinical services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The Lead Behavior Analyst provides consultation, conducts behavioral evaluations, and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients, while providing oversight expertise to Behavior Technicians to ensure quality of work product and adherence to applicable certification guidelines. The Lead Behavior Analyst educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activitiesand service delivery of Behavior Technicians. The Lead Behavior Analyst is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts.For a more detail list of duties and responsibilities, refer to job description. The position is M-F during daytime hours on a school calendar. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Acts in a team lead capacity to provide escalation support and guidance to a team of Behavior Technicians to ensure that applied behavior analytic assessments and children’s and adolescents’ clinical services are delivered in accordance with applicable Board Guidelines.
  • Responsible for ongoing client program development and oversight including skills acquisition and social skills programs and positive behavior supports and strategies.
  • Ensures direct staff are trained on best practice procedures based upon the principles of behavior analysis, and commensurate with the responsibilities of their job duties.
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and school-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
  • Ensures appropriate behavior data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
  • Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation for client caseload.
  • Collaborates with classroom teachers, parents, psychologists, social workers, and other medicaland school staff to develop and implement client’s behavior plans and treatment goals.
