Faculty Member – Applied Behavior Analysis Program

Albizu University

Miami Campus

Classification: Exempt

Location: Miami Campus, On-Site and Online Teaching

Reports to: Coordinator of the ABA Program

Position Overview

Albizu University is seeking a qualified, student-centered Faculty member for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program at the Miami Campus. This role involves teaching on-site, online, and hybrid ABA courses with a focus on Autism, providing leadership in curriculum and program development, supporting faculty collaboration, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Faculty member will uphold academic excellence, promote research and community engagement, and ensure high-quality student support in alignment with the University’s mission and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and provide instruction in the ABA program’s courses, ensuring academic quality and student learning outcomes.
  • Serve as a representative of the ABA program within the institution and externally, fostering relationships with students, faculty, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and teach engaging online graduate and undergraduate courses in Applied Behavior Analysis, with an emphasis on Autism.
  • Monitor student progress, retention, and achievement, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional policies and accrediting bodies.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and assessment initiatives in ABA.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure courses reflect evidence-based practices, emerging trends, and technology-enhanced instruction.
  • Participate in departmental and program-area faculty meetings, committees, and relevant accreditation or institutional planning efforts.
  • Mentor and collaborate with colleagues within the ABA program and related areas such as Special Education.
  • Support professional development, teaching excellence, and academic innovation. Align faculty expertise with course offerings and program needs.
  • Maintain scheduled office hours and provide academic guidance to students.
  • Serve on department, college, or university committees as assigned.
  • Collaborate with faculty on student remediation, research, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to program planning, accreditation reporting, and institutional initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining program records and supporting operational management as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Coordinator and/ or Dean of Academic Affairs

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field with a concentration in ABA.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential at time of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D).
  • Experience teaching online ABA courses at the graduate or undergraduate level, preferably with a focus on Autism.
  • Minimum of three years post-certification experience in the field of ABA.
  • Active participation in ABA-related professional associations.
