Excellent communication Skills are required 

1) Core Java/J2EE Development on Amazon hosted cloud platforms (AWS)

2) Should be able to hand code/code from scratch

3) Should have been involved in the development/launch of at least 1 production application that is consumer facing and cloud based

4) Any mobile experience would be a huge plus for all positions 

Job Description:

The Device Evolution team within Client is seeking 4 uniquely qualified Java/J2EE developers to join a brand new team being built from scratch. This team will be responsible for creating a new product line within Client related to interactive media, gaming, video, 3D content, etc.

#1 - Java/J2EE with Analytics

This person will be responsible for instrumenting all systems - iOS, Android, Web Front End, Backend, Databases.

They will need to be strong in Java, J2EE, Web Services (AWS), and Google Analytics. Any experience with Big Data (Hadoop, MapR, etc. would be a plus).

They should be strong with using AWS for app hosting, being Amazon Certified would be a plus.

Need to be comfortable with hands-on development from scratch.

Should be able to produce statistics/reports by throwing data into Google Analytics and developing J2EE/AWS for complimentary teams.

#2 - Java/J2EE with e-Commerce

This person will be responsible for developing ways to monitize video content, upload information to the cloud.

Will need to architect/develop a framework which can be used for counting user views, ad insertion, collecting payments, developing pay portals. Any experience with PayPal, Google Wallet, Android Pay would be needed in this area.

Should understand common Security paradigms and have experience with secure systems (i.e. LDAP).

Need to be very strong in Core Java, Cloud Development, Design Frameworks. 

Any experience with the following e-commerce tools would be a plus: Magento, Ad Mob, Google Ad Works, Double Click.

Should have experience with other e-commerce platforms: OnDemand, YouTube, Patrion.

#3 - Java/J2EEwith Content Management

This person will be responsible for implementing/protecting DRM Will be conducting video orchestration Responsible for content filtering - make sure that video is clean, nothing illegal, check for spam Should have experience with at least 1 of the following: Google Wide Vine, Microsoft Pay Ready, Adobe Access, Apple Fair Play *Tools for integrating content/video to hardware Should have prior experience serving video on a large-scale and working with video broadcast

#4 - Java/J2EE w/ Content Distribution

Should have experience with Content Distribution Networks (CDN) - big website, near network operations Examples are Edgecast or Akami Video is being served from local node (i.e. your local city, not the whole world) Allows for less latency in videos Should come from Fortune 500 environment - Video on Demand experience, Cable experience - Fios, Broadband, DSL video 

Additional Information:

Need to have prior experience working in the video/entertainment/media industries. The best candidates will come from Redbox Instant, Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, NBC, etc.
