⚙️ What you'll be doing

• Set up, program and operate CNC mills, lathes or vertical turning equipment based on your experience
• Read shop orders, blueprints, models and written machining instructions
• Program conversationally at the machine or edit supplied CNC programs
• Select or adjust tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds and offsets
• Run multiple machines where longer cycle times allow
• Inspect machined features and protect quality throughout the operation
• Machine and finish large steel components used in precision gearing
• Work with supervisors and other machinists to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently

• 5-axis milling: DMG Mori machines with Siemens and CELOS conversational controls
• CNC turning: Mazak Quick Turn, E-500 and Slant 60 machines with Mazatrol
• 3-axis milling: Vertical bridge mill and horizontal mill with Fanuc controls
• Vertical turning: Two Toshiba VTLs with Fanuc controls
• Gear programming: GearMillPro on applicable 5-axis work

✅ What we're looking for

Required

• Hands-on CNC machining experience in setup and operation
• Ability to read blueprints, shop orders and machining instructions
• Ability to make program, tooling or offset adjustments at the machine
• Experience inspecting parts with standard precision-measuring tools
• Willingness to work an available 2nd-shift schedule

Preferred

• Experience with 5-axis milling, Mazak turning, Fanuc milling or VTL machining
• Siemens, CELOS, Mazatrol or Fanuc control experience
• Gear-machining or other large-part manufacturing experience
• Experience running multiple machines during longer cycles

Pay, benefits & schedule

Pay: $21.27–$38.65 per hour; placement in the range depends on applicable experience and machine skills
Schedule: Primarily 2nd shift, either 3:00 PM–1:00 AM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, Monday–Friday; overtime schedules are communicated weekly and overtime is not mandatory
