Mentorship Machine Learning Engineer Search Algorithms ML Models Data Platforms


We are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Search team and enhance our core search product. You will build scalable products to improve the healthcare search experience for patients and providers. You will balance your contributions as an applied Machine Learning Engineer with mentorship responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the end-to-end development of search algorithms and ML models.

  • Implement ML Ops and CI/CD best practices.

  • Collaborate with other teams to incorporate features within Search.

  • Ship efficient and scalable code to millions of users.

  • Partner with product and design teams to develop product improvements.

  • Mentor other engineers.

  • Work with GenAI tools and technology.


Requirements

  • Passion for building and productionizing large-scale consumer-facing ML models.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques.

  • Understanding of consumer-facing experiment design.

  • Passion for technology and the ability to think critically about software performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Experience building data platforms with the latest technologies.

  • Experience implementing software solutions using object-oriented or functional languages (e.g., Scala, Spark, Databricks, Python, React, C#, Node.js).

  • Experience designing, building, and shipping applications that scale.

  • 7+ years of professional development experience (Data teams experience is a plus).

  • Experience mentoring other engineers.

  • Computer Science or related degree (preferred).
