Herbal Goodness is a fast-growing botanical health and wellness company based in McKinney, Texas. We manufacture and distribute botanical teas, liquid extracts, supplements, and wellness products across multiple retail and e-commerce channels.
As we expand our manufacturing capabilities in McKinney, we are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined team member who enjoys operating equipment, solving problems, and keeping production moving efficiently.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Manufacturing Machine Operator / Technician & Operations Associate to support our tea and liquid manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate production machinery, perform machine setup and changeovers, troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, support preventive maintenance, maintain accurate production records, and assist with day-to-day manufacturing and warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, and willing to learn new machinery and processes.
Experience in food, beverage, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, packaging, or light manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Production
  • Operate tea manufacturing, filling, sealing, labeling, packaging, and related production equipment.
  • Operate liquid mixing, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging equipment.
  • Set up machines for daily production runs and perform product/SKU changeovers.
  • Stage raw materials, packaging components, labels, bottles, pouches, and other production supplies.
  • Follow approved production instructions, batch records, Bills of Materials, and work orders.
  • Monitor machines throughout production to ensure consistent output and product quality.
  • Complete production runs according to daily and weekly manufacturing schedules.
  • Accurately record quantities produced, waste, downtime, and production completion.

Equipment Troubleshooting & Maintenance
  • Perform basic troubleshooting when machinery stops or is not operating correctly.
  • Identify common mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, filling, sealing, sensor, and alignment issues.
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs within your level of training.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist external technicians with equipment diagnosis, maintenance, installation, and commissioning when required.
  • Maintain machine manuals, maintenance records, and service logs.
  • Escalate equipment problems promptly when specialized technical support is required.

Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation procedures, safety requirements, and company SOPs.
  • Inspect products during production for correct fill quantity, weight, seal integrity, packaging, labels, lot numbers, and expiration information.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary equipment and production areas.
  • Complete required batch and production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Immediately report quality deviations, equipment problems, safety concerns, or product discrepancies.
  • Support traceability, lot control, and quality inspections.

Warehouse & Operations Support
  • Assist with receiving, inventory movement, material staging, and finished-goods storage.
  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Move materials between warehouse and production areas as required.
  • Support order fulfillment, packaging, shipping, and other operational activities when production demand allows.
  • Maintain organized workstations, production areas, tools, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, downtime, and production errors.

Qualifications
Required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
  • Previous experience operating machinery, production equipment, packaging equipment, or similar mechanical systems.
  • Ability to follow written SOPs, production instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter production information.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to our McKinney, Texas facility.

Preferred
  • 1-3+ years of machine-operation, manufacturing, maintenance, production, or warehouse experience.
  • Experience with liquid filling, bottling, capping, labeling, tea packaging, pouch filling, sealing, or automated packaging machinery.
  • Experience in food, beverage, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or other regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, sensor, or basic electrical equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, preventive maintenance, production records, and inventory controls.
