Job description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Contract (HCS Waiver)

We are seeking a Contract Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide Behavioral Support Services under the Texas Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Medicaid Waiver Program. Services are delivered based on referrals (PRN) and offer a flexible schedule, making this an excellent opportunity to supplement your current caseload.

Compensation: $72.15 per hour

Location: Community and/or client homes (Texas)

Position Overview

The BCBA will conduct behavioral assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities enrolled in the HCS program.

Services must align with HHSC and HCS waiver requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) in accordance with HCS guidelines
  • Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) that are person-directed and evidence-basedProvide training and support to service providers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Monitor effectiveness of interventions and revise plans as needed
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to guide treatment decisions
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings as required
  • Ensure all documentation meets HHSC, Medicaid, and HCS waiver standards
  • Maintain timely and accurate service documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Must meet Texas HCS Behavioral Support Provider qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and ethical practices (BACB)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently in home and community-based settings
  • Reliable transportation for community-based service delivery
  • Must pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing services within the Texas HCS or other Medicaid waiver programs
  • Familiarity with HHSC documentation and compliance requirements

  • Flexible, PRN-based scheduling depending on client referrals
