Job Description:

L3Harris is currently hiring for the role of Senior Specialist, Contracts. This position is responsible for conducting proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, and administering, extending, negotiating and terminating standard and nonstandard US Government and International contracts.

Essential Functions:

  • Proposing, negotiating, and administering Direct Commercial Sales contracts for international defense programs and US Government and Foreign Military Sales
  • Preparing, negotiating, and administering a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.
  • Ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR, DFAR and ITAR.
  • Reviewing RFPs; preparing proposals including engineering changes; performing associated negotiation and defining activities.
  • Performing risk assessment of proposal/contract terms and conditions; formulating and executing strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.
  • Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.
  • Serving as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.
  • Generating and maintaining contract documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 6-10 years experience in Contracts management.
  • Experience working Defense contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working International, DCS, and/or Commercial contracts.
  • Experience effectively interfacing at all levels of company management.
  • Experience in problem solving through creative solutions drawing from prior experience is preferred.
  • Be able to manage complex projects or processes.
  • Experience leading a team/project in gathering comprehensive data from multiple disciplines and lead a team to address complex issues and concerns. Problems typically require consideration from multiple areas or specialties.
  • MS Office Suite Proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, educationassistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
