Job description

SUMMARY:
Produce creative design recommendations that meet or exceed client expectations. Develop space
solutions and recommend products, colors, and finishes for client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gather information through field measurements, inventory of product for clients, and programming necessary to complete projects accurately.
  • Develop, design, and create new application ideas.
  • Space plan, develop accurate product specification and application plans, and provide detailed installation drawings for projects.
  • Excellent communication with people outside the organization while representing the organization to accomplish the following duties:
  1. Establish realistic expectations with clients to complete deliverables within the expected time frame.
  2. Assist in development of client standards documents.
  3. Assist in the development and presentation of sales proposals – Power point presentations, 3D renderings, preparing Presentation boards.
  4. Provide creative and knowledgeable product offerings for clients.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain those relationships.
  • Provide assistance to the department when necessary to balance the department’s workload.
  • Checking other designer’s specifications.
  • Develop and execute goals and plans to accomplish assigned work.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities from design services.
  • Accurately record billable time.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architectural studies/interior design required or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3-D rendering programs and ability to learn new programs.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • At least one year of design layout experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to come up with solutions to obstacles/problems quickly.
  • Space planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability work well with various personalities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
