Plan, set-up and perform all processes to maintain the flow of work and directly support the assembly and test of environmental control systems while practicing and complying with all environmental, health and safety directions and procedures.
What You Will Do
  • Plan, set-up, layout and perform assembly, disassembly, balance, test, modification and repair of product.
  • Troubleshoot to determine causes of malfunctions.
  • Plan, set-up and perform a variety of quality control tests such as hardness tests, analyzing micros, performing calibration of gages, equipment and instrumentation, and receiving, dimensional and visual inspections.
  • Recommend and implement process and work flow improvements to maintain deliveries to customer requirements.
  • Plan sequence of operations and participate in preparing or modifying work instructions.
  • Schedule and prioritize production, development, job order and maintenance work.
  • Participate in selecting, modifying, and making simple tooling and equipment to meet new or special requirements.
  • Perform preliminary review. Determine material disposition, recommend and implement corrective action for non-conforming product.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data to recommend process or design improvements.
  • Instruct fellow employees in the proper performance of duties.
  • Improve processes and solve problems with fellow employees and technical support group.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and minor repair of equipment.
  • Participate in audits of processes, procedures,and work flow.
  • Move product and material to designated locations in accordance with material control procedures and initiate follow-up lists.
  • Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.
  • Prepare reports documenting causes of malfunction and necessary corrective action.
  • Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
  • Training Schedule: Mandatory training will take place on 1st shift until management deems the employee is able to work independently and unsupervised. At that time, the employee will move to 2nd shift. We anticipate the training to be up to 90 days.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Requires a well rounded knowledge of assembly and test including the use of drawings and specifications, shop mathematics and/or formulas, measuring instruments, and/or the set-up and operation of a variety of equipment as applied to varied assembly and test assignment.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
  • Experience with measuring equipment such as verniers.
  • Experience with basic hand tools, specifically torque wrenches.
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Experience with SAP or Solumina
  • Requires the equivalent of four years of technical high school training with specialization in the field.
