Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled professional with a background in perioperative care to support surgical operations. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Certified Surgical Technologist or an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) with a commitment to excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required
• Previous experience as an ORT or in a surgical setting
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and function efficiently under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing surgical schedules

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up sterile instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe environment for patients
• Assist during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies, and by maintaining sterile technique
• Monitor and account for all surgical instruments and materials throughout procedures
• Support postoperative room turnover and prepare for subsequent cases
• Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and equipment usage
• Adhere strictly to infection control standards and hospital protocols

$1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
