Schedule: M-F, 7am-3:30pm
A Quality Inspector job in East Hartford, CT is currently accepting applications. This is a 3-6 month contract position with our key manufacturing client. In this role you will be responsible for inspecting and recording dimensions of precision machined aerospace components, ensuring product and certification conformance to manufacturing and customer specifications. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma along with 5+ years of related experience with quality control and inspection of machined components in the aerospace industry.
Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:
* Visual and dimensional inspection per manufacturing process sheets, inspection reports, and associated documentation.
* Verify conformance of special process and material certifications.
* Interpret customer requirements and verify conformance to contract, PO, drawing and other flow-down specifications.
* Work to resolve non-conformances. Communicate findings with responsible engineer, presenting data comprehensively.
* Process non-conformance (NC) and discrepancy material (DMR) transactions in manufacturing software system (EPICOR).
* Performs other related duties as required.
Quality Inspector Job Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* DQR Certification
* 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing
* Strong proficiency with dimensional inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
* Experience with GE Aviation, Raytheon Technologies (Pratt & Whitney / Collins), and other aerospace OEMs - is plus
* Familiarity with FAI, First pc Inspection, receiving inspection.
* Ability to perform full layout inspection
