Job Posting

The clinic and infusion nurse performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.

Minimum Qualifications

ADN

Working knowledge of oncology services

Excellent communication skills

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLS

One of the following:

  • Current Alabama RN license
  • Current Multi State RN license in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card (ONS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or placement into position

Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) must be obtained within 24 months of hire or placement into position

ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration

Desired Qualifications

BSN/MS degree in Nursing

1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy

ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population
