Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer intravenous medications and fluids according to physician orders and nursing protocols.

Monitor patients during infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate patient response, and manage any adverse reactions.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and patient progress notes. Updating patient charts and tracking paperwork using our EMR system.

Cleaning and preparing patient areas, equipment, and tools.

Collaborate with physicians, benefit coordinators and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure treatment goals are met.

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and healthcare staff.

Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies and equipment.

Manage infusion phone messages and scheduling.

Insertion and discontinuation of peripheral IV catheters.


Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of Georgia

Experience with EMR systems

Proficient in dose calculations and administering IV medications

Must have completed a recent infusion therapy course or have current infusion experience
